Rachel Klein
Southern born but northern bound, Rachel is a bird of multiple migrations. She is a Brooklyn based visual artist specializing in directing, cinematography and photography.
Rachel specializes in sensitive, cinematic, human-driven documentary, commercial and narrative work. She shot for the 2018 TIFF selected feature documentary “This Changes Everything” and shot the 2024 SXSW selected documentary series “Ryley Walker & Friends” directed by Mark Duplass.
She was series DP for Peacock’s 2024 Emmy Nominated “Amber: Girl Behind the Alert”. Her cinematography narrative feature debut “Shithouse” won the 2020 Grand Jury Prize at SXSW.
As a commercial director Rachel has produced empathetic, candid and intimate spots for brands like Ford, Levi’s, Lincoln, ESPN, Soma, Red Wing, REI, Brooks Running, Carters, Vanity Fair and Lancome, often working closely with her subjects by shooting her pieces in tandem.
